EWEA publication “The European offshore wind industry – Key trends and statistics: 1st half 2011”

EWEA has published today “The European offshore wind industry – Key trends and statistics: 1st half 2011”, please click here to view or download a copy. It shows that in the first six months of 2011, 101 offshore wind turbines totalling 348.1 MW (up 4.5% compared to the same period last year) were fully grid connected. Overall 11 offshore wind farms were under construction. The brief report looks at installations (foundations, turbines, and grid connection of turbines) in the first six months, developer and manufacturer market shares, and financing developments.
